Looking at the Mirror | Sharon Maor "Looking in the Mirror" is an album about a journey. A journey of growing up, searching for identity, and discovering that the path to understanding ourselves never truly ends. It begins with a 17-year-old boy asking, "What's the Point?" He sets out into the world in search of answers, only to discover that what he's looking for lies within, and that we can become so much more than we ever imagined. Along the way, the journey moves through wars, love, struggles, and travels around the world. The song "German Village," for example, was born from a year and a half spent traveling across Europe in a camper van – a time of freedom, exploration, and discovery. As the years pass, the boy becomes a father. In the song "How We Grew Together," he discovers that entire worlds exist beyond his own, and that the happiness of the people he loves is deeply connected to his own. And it's precisely then that he realizes the journey is far from over. Even as we grow, love, and become parents, the journey of discovering who we are continues. It is infinite. Alongside this inner journey, the album explores the tension between being a young father and pursuing the dream of becoming a musician – the determination to keep creating even when life gets difficult, and the songs that are born from those struggles. Beneath every song runs a common thread: the tension between impulse and creation – between what burns within us and what we choose to create from it. "Looking in the Mirror" is Sharon Maor's debut album. A deeply personal reflection on life, change, and the person we meet anew each time we look in the mirror. The journey is completed by a companion four-song EP featuring " that add another chapter to a story that continues to unfold.
